Una coppia di sudafricani ha attraversato a nuoto un fiume infestato dai coccodrilli per aggiudicarsi un premio tanto desiderato: un biglietto Vip per una partita del Mondiale di calcio dal costo stimato in 100.000 rands, circa 13.000 dollari, secondo quanto riporta oggi il quotidiano «Beeld».
Maurice e Nicole Meyer, di Nelspruit, hanno partecipato ad un concorso organizzato da una radio locale che offre il tagliando a chi mette in pratica la prodezza più originale.
Ancora non è stato comunque deciso il nome del vincitore. Maurice Meyer ha spiegato di essersi indignato ascoltando le proposte poco rischiose di altri partecipanti. Per questo motivo ha ideato con sua moglie questa prova: nuotare tra i coccodrilli. Suo fratello non solo ha registrato il video dell'impresa, ma ha anche vigilato a bordo di una barca con un arma per intervenire in caso di incidente.
