OLANDA, CT E CAPITANO NOMINATI CAVALIERI ORDINE ORANGE-NASSAU - NETHERLANDS, CT AND CAPTAIN APPOINTED ORANGE-NASSAU ORDER KNIGHTS

Il ct e il capitano della nazionale olandese, Bert van Marwijk e Giovanni van Bronckhorst (che ha deciso di chiudere la carriera calcistica), sono stati nominati cavalieri dell'Ordine Orange-Nassau, una delle onorificenze reali olandesi. La consegna è stata fatta a sorpresa oggi all'arrivo della squadra alla Catshuis, la residenza ufficiale all'Aja del primo ministro.
I vice campioni del mondo, rientrati ieri in Olanda, hanno passato - secondo quanto riferito dal sito del giornale De Telegraaf - la notte in albergo a Noordwijk e stamani sono stati portati all'Aja con un elicottero militare.
All'ingresso laterale della Catshuis erano attesi da un paio di centinaia di tifosi. I giocatori sono stati accolti con caffè e pasticcini dal premier uscente, Jan Peter Balkenende, e dal ministro dello Sport, Ab Klink.
Successivamente la squadra sarà ricevuta dalla regina Beatrice nel palazzo Noordeinde. Nel pomeriggio è in programma la parata sui canali di Amsterdam. L'ordine Orange-Nassau è il terzo nella gerarchia delle onorificenze reali. È stato istituito nel 1892 e viene assegnato a personalità che «si sono particolarmente distinte per attività a favore della società». L'ordine ha sei livelli, quello di cavaliere è il quinto. Il primo e più alto è la Gran Croce.

Delivery was made as a surprise to the team's arrival today in Catshuis, official residence of Prime Minister at The Hague.
The vice-World Champions, returned yesterday in Holland, spent - according to reports from the site of the newspaper De Telegraaf - the night in a hotel in Noordwijk and were taken to The Hague this morning with a military helicopter.

OLANDA-SPAGNA, INVASORE DI CAMPO ‘JIMMY JUMP’ TENTA DI PRENDERE LA COPPA (VIDEO) – NETHERLANDS-SPAIN, PITCH INVADER ‘JIMMY JUMP’ TRIES TO CATCH CUP

È lo spagnolo, ma lui preferisce definirsi catalano, 'Jimmy Jump' l'invasore di campo che è riuscito ad entrare in campo percorrendo una cinquantina di metri, al Soccer City pochi attimi prima dell'entrata in campo di Olanda e Spagna.
È stato placcato alla gola, e poi atterrato dagli uomini della sicurezza un attimo prima che riuscisse a prendere la Coppa per alzarla anche lui come aveva fatto poco prima Fabio Cannavaro.
Successivamente è stato portato via dal tunnel dove si trovavano i giocatori, che per far passare l'invasore e le otto persone che lo tenevano fermo si sono dovuti scansare.
'Jimmy Jump' non è certo nuovo ad 'irruzioni’ del genere, in occasione di eventi sportivi e non, visto che è riuscito a farlo anche nell'ultimo festival dell'Eurovisione, al momento dell'esibizione del rappresentante della Spagna. Oggi l'uomo indossava il classico berretto rosso alla catalana, ed una maglietta scura con la scritta (in lettere 'blaugrana’, e forse non è un caso) «Jimmy Jump Against Racism».
