Di mondiali di calcio si parla molto in questi giorni sulla stampa locale in Cina non solo per tifare per questa o quella squadra o per esaminare le tecniche di gioco ma per vari problemi che si stanno verificando nelle famiglie.

Secondo quanto riferisce lo Shanghai Daily, molte persone si sono recate in ospedale negli ultimi giorni accusando sintomi vari legati, secondo i medici, soprattutto alla stanchezza e alle pochissime ore di sonno. A causa del fuso orario, infatti, la febbre del calcio costringe gli appassionati a rimanere svegli anche sino alle prime ore dell'alba per vedere le gare in diretta dal Sudafrica.

Secondo il giornale cinese, inoltre, diverse persone si sono recate in ospedale chiedendo la rimozione di tatuaggi con i simboli e il logo della squadra preferita a seguito dell'eliminazione della stessa.

L'ultimo caso riguarda un uomo che è finito al pronto soccorso con il naso rotto a seguito di un litigio con la moglie. La squadra preferita dal signor Zhang, l'Inghilterra, doveva disputare la sua partita. Zhang era già pronto davanti all'apparecchio quando ha iniziato a litigare con la moglie che gli chiedeva di cambiare canale. Nella disputa per la scelta del canale il signor Zhang, ha detto ai medici, ha urtato violentemente il suo naso contro il telecomando, che si è rotto. Non tutti credono a questa versione e invece pensano che sia stata sua moglie a rompergli il naso. E la polizia sta indagando su un giro di falsi certificati medici. Gli agenti hanno infatti scoperto su internet un mercato di certificati che permetteva ai dipendenti di società private e pubbliche di non andare al lavoro per seguire le partite o recuperare il sonno perduto a seguito delle notti insonni. Nella rete della polizia, sono già finiti medici compiacenti.
