La televisione serba Rts rischia di dover pagare una multa all'Uefa per aver mandato in onda martedì sera un dibattito parlamentare sul 'Massacro di Srebrenica', al posto del match di Champions League tra Bayern Monaco e Manchester United. Come spiegato da alcuni media locali, Rts detiene i diritti per i match di Champions ma al tempo stesso è anche obbligata a trasmettere i dibattiti parlamentari nazionali. In particolare martedì scorso la discussione riguardava una mozione per la condanna dei crimini di guerra riguardanti il 'massacro di Srebrenica', città bosniaca dove le truppe serbe 15 anni fa massacrarono quasi 8mila musulmani. Rinunciando a trasmettere Bayern Monaco-Manchester United la Rts ha violato il contratto con l'Uefa e dovrà pagare un'ammenda di 1 milione di euro circa. Il direttore dell'emittente serba, Aleksandar Tijanić, ha detto di aver ricevuto la promessa da parte delle autorità che saranno loro ad accollarsi il costo della multa, anche se il presidente del parlamento serbo, Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic, nega questa possibilità. La scelta di Rts di dare priorità alla politica sul calcio sembra abbia fatto arrabbiare qualcuno, tanto che durante la discussione alla camera una telefonata da una cabina telefonica annunciava un allarme bomba contro il parlamento. Alla fine la camera serba ha approvato la mozione di condanna nei confronti del massacro di Srebrenica, con una maggioranza molto risicata: 127 voti su 250 totali.
