In Brasile le figurine Panini vanno a ruba, nel vero senso della parola. Cinque uomini armati fino ai denti hanno fatto irruzione ieri notte in un'azienda di San Paolo, la società Treelog distributrice ufficiale degli album Panini nel paese, per rubare le figurine dei Mondiali di calcio che prenderanno il via il prossimo giugno in Sudafrica. Il furto, secondo la stampa brasiliana, sarebbe avvenuto intorno alle 23.30, sono state sottratte 135 mila scatole piene di figurine. Ogni scatola contiene 1.000 pacchetti che contengono cinque figurine.

L'azione dei malviventi sarebbe durata circa mezz'ora. Calcolando che nelle edicole sono vendute a 0,75 real ogni pacchetto, il valore supera i 100mila real, quasi 43mila euro. Le figurine trafugate sarebbero oltre 675mila. La polizia ritiene che il materiale possa essere messo in vendita in maniera illecita tramite internet.

Sicuramente i ladri non avranno alcun problema a completare l'album dei calciatori e non dovranno ingegnarsi per scambiare i "doppioni" con gli amici. Sull'accaduto indaga il dipartimento per la pubblica sicurezza di San Paolo, che avrà il compito di risalire ai colpevoli e di rintracciare la merce trafugata. Il sospetto degli inquirenti è che il materiale possa essere venduto online. Nelle ultime settimane la Panini aveva dovuto far pervenire in tutta fretta in Brasile un nuovo stock di figurine per far fronte alla grande richieste da parte di giornalai e clienti.
