ALLENATORE PARAGUAY: "LA GENTE MI IMPICCHERA' SE PERDO, NON SE CONVOCO ORIUNDI" - PARAGUAY COACH: "PEOPLE HANG ME IF I LOSE, NOT FOR CALLING NATIVES"

"It doesn't seem logical to deprive an important player, people hang me if I lose, not for naturalization of players". These are the words of the national coach of Paraguay, the argentine Gerardo Martino, issued to Cardinal Station of Asuncion. The coach is adamant in its policy of using naturalized players to put together the team that will play the next World Cup, where Italy is included in the group with Slovakia and New Zealand. Striker Lucas Barrios was born in Buenos Aires, is the latest to take the Paraguayan citizenship through his mother. Proponent of naturalization, Martin believes that the Borussia Dortmund player could join the team take the field in South Africa, 11 June. In Paraguay, has questioned the use by the coach, players born in neighboring Argentina, but Martin has no doubts about its willingness to continue with this policy. They played for the National Team, natives like Jonathan Santana and Nestor Ortigoza, and took another citizenship Paraguay midfielder Jonathan Fabbro (Guaranì).
