L'appello arriva da un centinaio di genitori di alcuni scolari di due istituti, una scuola elementare e una materna, di Civita Castellana in provincia di Viterbo. I genitori dei bimbi hanno scritto al capitano della Roma chiedendogli «di intervenire nei confronti della società telefonica che promuovi per far rimuovere l'antenna istallata da qualche giorno sul tetto di una palazzina di via Alcide De Gasperi. »Te lo chiediamo come sportivo, come uomo di grande cuore e soprattutto in qualità di padre«, scrivono i genitori. Il ripetitore, spiegano i firmatari dell'appello, »oltre ad essere vicino alle abitazioni, si trova in un area frequentata da centinaia di giovani, in mezzo alle case, a cento metri da una scuola e un asilo comunale«. Oltre a inviare la lettera i genitori dei bambini e i residenti della zona hanno avviato una raccolta firme per chiedere la rimozione dell'antenna. »Sappiamo che non sarà facile ottenere dalla Vodafone lo spostamento del ripetitore -concludono padri e madri nella lettera a Totti- per questo non ci resta che sperare in un tuo intervento.
