ARGENTINA: AGGREDIRONO LA POLIZIA, 10 GIORNI D'ARRESTO PER 8 CALCIATORI - ARGENTINA: AGAINST THE POLICE, 8 PLAYERS 10 DAYS UNDER ARREST

Un giudice della città di Cordoba, 700 chilometri ad ovest di Buenos Aires, ha comminato una pena dieci giorni di carcere e la sospensione per quattro partite ad otto giocatori del Racing locale, che disputa il campionato di serie C, perchè, nella serata del 19 ottobre scorso, al termine di un incontro con il Talleres, hanno preso a pugni i poliziotti che cercavano di difendere l'arbitro.
Lo ha reso noto il quotidiano 'Clarin', precisando che secondo la sentenza, nelle giornate di squalifica, quando i loro compagni saranno i campo, i giocatori dovranno restare rinchiusi nei commissariati più vicini al rispettivo domicilio. I loro legali hanno però fatto ricorso e, per ora, la pena è stata sospesa.
Il giornale ricorda che, per la stessa gazzarra, l'Afa ha punito con quattro giornate di squalifica solo due dei giocatori e che è attesa una misura del tribunale che si occupa del comportamento della polizia, poichè, dai filmati tv, gli agenti hanno preso a loro volta a calci e pugni i calciatori.

The newspaper points out that, for the same uproar, AFA punished with a four match ban only two players and it is expected that a measure of the court deals with the behavior of the police, because, from TV movies,  agents took in turn kicking and punching players.
