BRASILE, CENA IN ASSOLUTO SILENZIO E RINGRAZIAMENTO A DUNGA - BRAZIL, DINNER IN ABSOLUTE SILENCE AND THANKS TO DUNGA

Tanta tristezza e rassegnazione si è impadronita della nazionale brasiliana dopo la sconfitta per 2-1 contro l'Olanda e l'eliminazione dei quarti di finale del Brasile dal Mondiale di Sudafrica 2010. Si è così infranto il sogno dei verdeoro di conquistare la sesta Coppa del Mondo.
Tutta le delegazione sudamericana, dal ct Carlos Dunga a tutti i giocatori, ieri sera dopo il ritorno nel loro hotel a Port Elizabeth, hanno cenato «in assoluto silenzio nel ristorante», in una notte triste.
«Nessuno ha detto una sola parola durante tutta la cena», ha spiegato un componente della commissione tecnica.
Il silenzio è stato interrotto solo dal portiere Julio Cèsar, incaricato dai suoi compagni di fare un discorso di ringraziamento e di gratitudine nei confronti di Dunga. Dopo aver ringraziato l'allenatore per aver avuto l'opportunità di disputare un Mondiale, il portiere dell'Inter ha sottolineato l'unione del gruppo formato da Dunga per affrontare questo Mondiale sudafricano: «Sei riuscito a creare un gruppo di amici, di fratelli. Avremmo voluto molto conquistare il sesto titolo e dedicartelo», ha detto Julio Cesar.
Dunga che è stato l'ultimo ad arrivare al ristorante per la cena e che è rimasto in silenzio si è commosso per le parole del portiere ed ha ringraziato i giocatori per la fiducia che gli hanno dimostrato, nonostante non abbia avuto nessuna esperienza precedente come allenatore.
Dopo il discorso dell'allenatore, tutti i membri della delegazione si sono stretti in un lungo abbraccio collettivo.
