SERBIA, PARLAMENTO IN VACANZA UN MESE PER SEGUIRE IL MONDIALE - SERBIA, PARLIAMENT ONE MONTH IN HOLIDAY TO FOLLOW WORLD CUP

In Serbia il Parlamento sospenderà i lavori per un mese, da oggi fino all'11 luglio, in corrispondenza del mondiale di calcio in Sudafrica. Come riferisce oggi il quotidiano Press, la motivazione ufficiale è l'impossibilità della radiotelevisione pubblica (Rts) di trasmettere in diretta le sedute in aula (come stabilito per legge) per via dei collegamenti per le partite e le altre rubriche legate al Mondiale.
In realtà, lascia intendere il giornale, la causa vera sarebbe l'interesse della gran parte dei deputati tutto concentrato sul mondiale sudafricano, al quale partecipa anche la Serbia, nel gruppo D con Ghana, Germania e Australia.
Dall'ufficio della presidente del parlamento Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic è giunta una parziale conferma della lunga sospensione dei lavori. «Con ogni probabilità non vi sarà una sessione estiva del Parlamento», ha detto un portavoce. Dopo la sospensione per il Mondiale fra giugno e luglio, i deputati andranno in vacanza come di consueto ad agosto, così che questa estate sarà per i parlamentari serbi quasi tutta non lavorativa - osserva Press.
Sempre a causa del mondiale, le agenzie di stampa serbe segnalano una forte riduzione di eventi previsti nelle fasce orarie delle partite, mentre anche i cinema sembrano aver preparato per le prossime quattro settimane un repertorio di film più adatto alle donne, destinate probabilmente a rimanere sole per la passione calcistica dei loro compagni.


In Serbia, Parliament suspended work for a month from now until 11 July, as the World Cup in South Africa. As reported in today's daily Press, the official reason is the inability of public radio and television (RTS) to broadcast live sessions in the classroom (as provided by law) because of links to matches and other items related to the World Cup.
In fact, the paper suggests, the real cause would be the interest of the majority of parliamentarians around the World Cup focused on South Africa, in which also participates Serbia, with Ghana, Germany and Australia in Group D.
The office of parliament speaker Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic gave a partial confirmation of the long suspension of work. "In all likelihood there will be a summer session of Parliament", said the spokesman. After the suspension for the World Cup in June and July, the deputies will be on holiday as usual in August, so this summer will be for the Serbian parliamentary almost all non-working - Press notes.
Again because of the World Cup, the Serbian news agencies reported a significant reduction of events in times of matches, while cinema also seem to have prepared for the next four weeks a repertoire of movies suitable for women, probably destined to be alone passion for football of their men.
