GRECIA, POPE ULTRA' PUNITO DALLA CHIESA ORTODOSSA - GREECE, ULTRAS POPE PUNISHED BY ORTHODOX CHURCH

Un pope greco supertifoso del Paok di Salonicco è stato punito dalle gerarchie della Chiesa ortodossa per gli eccessi cui si sarebbe lasciato andare durante alcune partite mescolato agli ultras più scatenati. I video sono finiti poi su Youtube. Il vescovo di Salonicco, in un comunicato, giustifica la punizione affermando che il comportamento del religioso è stato oltremodo »sconveniente e volgare«. La risposta degli ultrà del Paok non si è fatta attendere e in oltre 7.500 hanno diffuso un appello via Facebok in difesa del religioso. Alcuni hanno sottolineato quanto sia stata inopportuna la decisione del vescovo. Il Pope, afferma un gruppo di tifosi in un comunicato, non faceva altro che portare tra la gente comune "i valori spirituali e sociali della chiesa«, accusata nella circostanza di avere avuto un approccio "fascista e reazionario".
