It started "countdown" for the kick-off in South Africa and 190 million brazilians are excited and waiting anxiously the days when only one thing is important: football and the "selecao".
In the first phase, the second round, quarterfinals, semifinals and the final seven games and no one doubts, if only for national pride, that Brazil will be in pitch seven times. "When Selecao plays here everything stops", says Ronildo taxi driver that does not really give much importance to football but, however, argued passionately on half an hour.
Many companies give out free afternoons to their employees because leaders know perfectly well that we should not think on work when Luis Fabiano attacks, Robinho dribbles and Kaka does wonders with ball. Many balconies of the palaces in Sao Paulo have already prepared and decorated with flags and banners and fans have already fitted with rockets and flares.
For weeks, television spots are flooding homes on the big event in South Africa, where Brazil aspires to obtain his sixth world title. "Brazil against the rest of the world", says martial tone with a spot of beer 'Brahma' with the eleven Brazilian players defined the warriors of the Seleção leaving the tunnel, while a second exit out all the other national.
Football in Brazil is also politics and that is why President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva urged his countrymen to support team as one man. "We are a country of 190 million coaches", said Lula. In any party or any coffee we talk about football and is analyzed in detail any decision of coach Carlos Dunga. In fact, even without the World, Brazil is a country crazy for soccer. The World Cup starts Friday but Brazil is preparing to debut on June 15 against the Seleção North Korea. The World of South Africa is a kind of warming to that of 2014 to be held in Brazil. For brazilians, after the end of 11 July, the message is: "After the World Cup before the World Cup".
